Largo treats above-ground pools the same as in-ground pools when they exceed the depth threshold or include connected systems. A permit application requires a survey showing pool placement, setbacks from property lines, electrical bonding plans for any pump or filter, and a signed Residential Pool/Spa Safety Act notice. The pool must still be enclosed by a 48-inch barrier; pool walls can be counted toward the barrier only if their outside face is at least 48 inches and ladders or steps are removable, lockable, or otherwise child-resistant. Setbacks and lot coverage rules from the Comprehensive Development Code still apply.
