Largo, FL Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Section 17-33(a) of the Largo Code of Ordinances lists 'being in the park or on park property during the hours when the park is closed' as a prohibited activity in any park owned or controlled by the city. ' Neither section fixes one universal citywide closing time; instead, hours of operation are set park-by-park and posted at each location, administered by the Recreation, Parks and Arts Department under the definitions in Section 17-1. A visitor who overstays the posted hours or enters after closing is also subject to Section 17-30(f), which lets any law enforcement officer or department staff member issue a lawful command to leave, separate from and in addition to a citation for the closed-hours violation itself.

Because both curfew provisions cross-reference department-posted signage rather than a fixed clock time written into the code, the operative closing hour for a given park, playground or beach access point is whatever hours are posted on-site, and the only way around that closure is the director's written permission under Section 17-30(e).
