Jackson County, MS Trash & Recycling: Bulk Item Disposal (2026)

Jackson County Solid Waste Department (228-769-3137) administers the franchise agreement under Miss. Code §19-5-17 authorizing counties to contract waste collection. Unincorporated residents pay a monthly fee on the county tax bill and receive weekly trash plus one bulk pickup per month by scheduling 48 hours ahead. Pascagoula Public Works (228-938-6670) collects bulky items every Thursday with a 6-item maximum per household. Ocean Springs schedules bulk pickup the second Wednesday of each month through the Sanitation Division. Moss Point Public Works requires residents to call 228-475-0300 for appointment.
