Conversion of an attached or detached garage into conditioned living space in Euless is regulated by the Unified Development Code parking rules and the adopted International Residential Code. Single-family lots are required to provide a minimum number of off-street parking spaces, generally two for a home, of which at least one must be enclosed in a garage in many residential districts. Converting the only enclosed parking space into living area without replacing it violates the zoning requirement and is typically denied or requires a variance.
