San Joaquin County, CA Building Safety: Electrical Permits (2026)

Electrical requirements here arrive through a chain of adoptions rather than through locally written rules. The Board of Supervisors adopted the 2025 California Electrical Code published by the California Building Standards Commission, and that state code incorporates by adoption the 2023 edition of the National Electrical Code of the National Fire Protection Association.
