460 adopts the 2025 California Plumbing Code and its appendices (Title 24, Part 5, based on the 2024 Uniform Plumbing Code) as the plumbing standard the building services division enforces. 480 supplements that adopted code with amendments tailored to Placer County's snow-country elevations. 480, every structure supplied with gas needs an outside, readily accessible shut-off valve, and above 3,500 feet a sign must mark that valve above the maximum anticipated snow depth.
