All structures must meet Florida Building Code 7th Edition (2020) under FL §553.73 with 140 mph ultimate wind speed (Risk Category II) in most of Volusia and 150+ mph in the coastal high-hazard zone. Variances require PLDRC or zoning board of adjustment hearings.
