Article 4B, Section 4B-102 of the Zoning Regulations defines a "tattoo or body piercing establishment" as any establishment performing a "skin-penetrating body adornment procedure," which the code defines to include tattooing and body-piercing but excludes ear piercing done with a disinfected gun and single-use studs. Subsection B bars location within 1,000 feet of a house of worship, public or private school, public park or recreational facility, public library, licensed child care home or institution, or a residentially zoned or used lot, and within 2,500 feet of another tattoo or body-piercing establishment, adult entertainment business, or massage establishment.
