Full Breakdown

Unincorporated Sonoma County requires every tobacco retailer to hold an annual license from the Department of Health Services before selling cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco or vapes at any fixed location, mobile vending and self-service displays are barred outright. New licenses are capped at one per 2,500 residents countywide and blocked within 1,000 feet of a school, library, playground or youth center and within 500 feet of another licensed retailer. Flavored tobacco and electronic smoking devices are banned for sale, and cigarettes must sell for at least $10 per pack.
