Pulaski County, AR Curfew Laws: Juvenile Curfew (2026)

Section 13-3(a), adopted by Ord. No. m. m. Friday and Saturday. The section also makes it unlawful for a parent to allow a juvenile 17 or younger to be in those locations during those hours. Subsection (b) lists seven exceptions: being accompanied by a parent or an authorized adult at least 21 years old; up to one hour after work for an employed minor heading home; up to one hour after an adult-supervised activity sponsored by a civic group, religious association, or school; a parent-approved errand; interstate travel; an emergency requiring the minor to leave a residence; and activity protected by the First Amendment or Article II of the Arkansas Constitution.

The penalty structure under subsection (c) escalates by household rather than by incident count alone: a minor's first violation draws only a warning citation and a notice to the parent that a second violation results in the parent being cited. 00. A juvenile who violates the curfew more than three times is reported by the sheriff's department to juvenile authorities as a juvenile in need of supervision and referred to the Arkansas Department of Human Services prosecuting attorney's office or other appropriate authority. Subsection (d) authorizes an officer to release a cited minor to go home, escort the minor home, or take the minor into custody and deliver them to a juvenile authority to hold until a parent is located, without limiting the officer from acting on any other violation of law by the minor.
