Under Sec. 66-7, all Clayton County parks are open to the public only from sunrise to sunset (per U.S. Weather Service times) unless the Board of Commissioners authorizes otherwise; entering a park or facility outside posted hours is unlawful except for scheduled programs or events. In addition, Sec. 62-11.4 makes it unlawful for any child (age 17 or under) to be in a public place, park, or playground in unincorporated Clayton County, unsupervised, between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. (midnight to 6:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays). Parents who allow a curfew violation, and adults violating park hours, can be penalized. Cities set their own park and curfew rules.
