Burlington County Parks System properties open around 7:00 AM and close about one-half hour after sunset (Mount Holly, per the National Weather Service), unless the Board of County Commissioners permits otherwise. Being in a park after closing is prohibited.
The Burlington County Parks System Rules and Regulations set official park hours: all Parks System properties open at approximately 7:00 AM and close approximately one-half hour after sunset as defined by the National Weather Service for the Mount Holly area, unless otherwise permitted by the Board. The Board may limit or close any park or area for management or public-safety reasons. Overnight camping and staying after closing are barred without express county permission. This is a genuine county-level curfew rule, distinct from any municipal juvenile curfew ordinance, which some towns adopt separately. The rules were first adopted May 14, 2008 and most recently amended April 23, 2025.
Rule violators are considered disorderly persons and escorted out; those refusing to leave are treated as defiant trespassers and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
