Stark County, OH Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

Two Canton ordinances control after-hours presence. Under Codified Ordinance 539.03, the parks are open to the public from dawn until dusk except for designated lighted facilities, and no person shall loiter, remain in, or congregate in any park during the time that park is closed; Section 539.01 defines dawn as one half hour after sunrise and dusk as one half hour before sunset. Separately, Canton's curfew for minors, Codified Ordinance 503.02, prohibits minors from loitering, idling, wandering, or being in public places or vehicles within the city between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., with exceptions for a minor accompanied by a guardian, traveling to or from work, or within one hour of a school, church, or organizational event.
