City of Katy parks operate under park rules that limit access to posted hours, with the dog park open dawn to dusk and other facilities generally closed late at night.
Park rules under the Katy Code of Ordinances, Division 4, govern access to municipal parks and facilities. General park hours run 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. unless different hours are posted at a specific facility. The Dog Park is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted. Entering or remaining in a park outside posted hours, camping, or sleeping in parks without authorization is prohibited. Park rangers and Katy police enforce the rules.
Being in a park after posted closing hours can result in a Class C misdemeanor citation, removal from the premises, and additional charges if combined with juvenile curfew or trespass violations.
