Chain link fences used as pool barriers must be at least 11.5 gauge with mesh no larger than 2.25-inch square. At least one approved safety feature (pool cover, alarm, fence, or self-latching devices) must be inspected before the pool is filled.
Pool barrier violations are serious safety issues. Failure to maintain proper barriers may result in citations, fines, and required immediate correction. Non-compliant pools may not pass final inspection.
