Cobb County, GA Filming & Production: Student Filming (2026)

Students applying for a film permit shall supply a written certificate from the school of their attendance which shall state that they are bona fide and currently enrolled students of the school. Nonprofit organizations applying shall supply a certificate from the IRS and other taxing authority indicating that they are exempt from taxation under federal and state statutes.(2)Issuance. Applications for filming must be filed at least ten business days in advance of the time that the proposed film activity is to commence. The deadline for filing an application may be waived for good cause by the county manager or her/his designee if there is sufficient time to process the application and for the county to prepare for the requested filming activity. The county reserves the right to revoke film permits and filming privileges if:

a.The provisions of this chapter, the permit, or any applicable laws or ordinances are violated; orb.During the filming activities circumstances arise which are, in the opinion of the county, deleterious to the rights of its residents or businesses or are in any way a danger to the health, safety or welfare of the community.(f)Location agreement. Upon issuance of a filming permit, if filming on county-owned property, the permittee shall execute a location filming agreement, which is to be furnished by Cobb County. The agreement must be executed by both Cobb County and the applicant prior to filming.
