Consumer fireworks are legal in Fayetteville only on private property with the owner's consent, only July 1-3 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and July 4 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Skyrockets and bottle rockets are banned outright.
Arkansas permits consumer fireworks statewide, but Fayetteville Code Sec. 94.05 sharply narrows when and how. Fireworks may be discharged only on private property with the owner's consent, and only during July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and July 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. No other date is allowed. Skyrockets and aerial fireworks attached to a stick, such as bottle rockets, may never be discharged inside city limits. When anyone under 16 is present, an adult at least 21 must supervise. If the Mayor's Burn Ban Order blocks the entire July window, discharge shifts to Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Public displays require a city permit.
Discharging fireworks outside the permitted July dates and hours, using banned skyrockets or bottle rockets, or lighting them on public property is a misdemeanor, citable by the Fire Marshal or police.
