Consumer fireworks may be purchased from licensed retailers during the permitted sales windows (June 24–July 4 and December 31–January 1). Responsible use is expected — fireworks must not constitute a nuisance or fire hazard. The Nebraska State Fire Marshal regulates fireworks sales and safety statewide. Residents in incorporated cities within Douglas County (Omaha, Ralston, Bennington) are subject to their respective city's fireworks rules.
