Burlington County, NJ Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Vending Zones (2026)

Burlington County does not designate open vending zones inside its park system. Rule 35 of the Burlington County Parks System Rules and Regulations, adopted by the Board of County Commissioners and last amended April 23, 2025, prohibits anyone from engaging in commercial enterprises on Parks System property, and specifically calls out offering services, soliciting, selling or peddling liquids or edibles for human consumption, distributing circulars, or hawking, peddling or vending goods, wares or merchandise, unless the Board has authorized that activity. That means a food truck or vendor cannot simply show up at a county park, boat launch, trailhead or the Burlington County Fairgrounds and start selling: written Board authorization is the precondition for any commercial food sale on park property.

Vendors who want to operate at a county park facility need to seek that authorization directly from the Board rather than relying on a municipal peddler's license, since Rule 35 applies specifically to Parks System property regardless of what the host municipality allows on its own streets. The rule sits under the COMMERCIAL USES heading of the Parks Rules, alongside the ban on distributing circulars and unauthorized soliciting, showing the county treats all uninvited commercial activity on park land the same way. This is separate from the vendor arrangements the county runs itself for scheduled events at the Fairgrounds or Agricultural Center under the county's own Facility Use Policies, which are a distinct program, not a standing vending-zone rule for the general public.
