Full Breakdown

Under Zoning Ordinance § 2.8.B, the planning commission may approve a home occupation only if it meets listed criteria, including that the use 'generates no traffic, parking, and sewage or water use in excess of what is normal in the residential neighborhood.' The same subsection bars fumes, odors, or noise beyond what is normal for residential activity, and prohibits accessory buildings from being used for the business. These criteria apply directly to client visits and business-generated traffic at a home-based business in Springdale.

Violations & Fines

A home occupation generating traffic beyond what's normal for the neighborhood is noncompliant and can have its conditional-use license revoked, plus a fine of up to $1,000 under Article 10.
