County Ordinance Code Chapter 7 bars camping, erecting shelter, arranging bedding, or using a parked vehicle to sleep for over 60 minutes or within 300 feet of a prior stop in 24 hours, on public roads or property under county jurisdiction. County parks specifically designated for camping are exempt. A violation is also a public nuisance the County can abate, and deputies have discretion not to cite drivers resting briefly in unposted areas for safety.
