No related activities shall be located in part or whole on any public or private right-of-way area, including but not limited to sidewalks, streets, or parkways.

Full Breakdown
Orange County's Zoning Code permits flower, fruit and vegetable gardens anywhere on a residential lot in unincorporated areas, with no minimum lot size or permit required. Homeowners may sell only produce grown on-site, sold whole and raw, on weekends and federal holidays, using a single temporary sign no larger than six square feet, posted only while produce is for sale. Compost must be contained to control odor and pests, and outdoor cannabis cultivation is barred entirely under a separate county ordinance. Every part of the operation must stay on the parcel: using a sidewalk, parkway or street for growing or selling breaches the code.
Violations & Fines
Selling produce not grown on-site, processed or cooked items, oversized or permanent signage, or letting garden or sales activity spill onto a sidewalk, parkway or street are zoning violations subject to code enforcement action.
