Water restrictions in Seminole County, FL — also called the watering schedule, outdoor irrigation rules, or drought ordinance — set which days and hours you can run sprinklers or irrigation.
Seminole County follows St. Johns River Water Management District landscape irrigation rules: two days a week during daylight saving time and one day a week during standard time, on days set by your address number, with no watering allowed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Irrigation days are set by address: odd-numbered or no address waters Wednesday and Saturday (daylight saving) or Saturday (standard time); even-numbered addresses water Thursday and Sunday, or Sunday in standard time; nonresidential properties water Tuesday and Friday, or Tuesday in standard time. Reclaimed-water customers follow a similar year-round schedule. Watering is never allowed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; a hand-held hose with an automatic shutoff nozzle is permitted anytime. New landscaping gets a limited establishment exception. During a declared water shortage the District may cut irrigation to one day per week for everyone. Rules cover wells, surface water, utility, and reclaimed sources.
Enforced by Seminole County Environmental Services and code enforcement; violations can bring warnings and escalating fines under the county water ordinance.
