Lake County Code Sec. 15-6(a) treats a 'bicycle path' and an 'exclusive bicycle lane' as two distinct protected spaces and regulates them slightly differently. Item (a)(1)i bars a vehicle from stopping, standing or parking on a bicycle path at all, with no exception for a quick drop-off; it sits in the same list as the sidewalk and railroad-track bans. Item (a)(2)f instead falls under the standing-and-parking clause, which allows a vehicle to stand only 'momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger,' so a car may pull briefly into an exclusive bicycle lane to let someone out but cannot stop there to wait, load groceries, or take a phone call.

1945 and apply on any county road segment carrying a marked bike lane or designated path in the unincorporated area. The Lake County Sheriff's Office and its parking enforcement specialists issue the citation under Sec. 15-2, and Sec. 00, payable or contestable at a hearing within ten days. Because a vehicle sitting in a bike lane or path is a traffic obstruction, Sec. 15-8(b)(1) also authorizes an officer to have it towed and impounded immediately rather than waiting for the fine to go unpaid, adding the towing and storage rates fixed in Sec. 15-7.
