Sec. 54-118 caps amplified sound not in a completely enclosed building at 65 dBA (also 70 dBC, or no more than a 5 dB gap between dBA and dBC) between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. During the day (7:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.) continuous sound sources may not exceed 75 dBA at the property line. Sec. 54-153 additionally forbids operating any radio, amplifier, or musical instrument so as to disturb neighbors or louder than necessary for convenient hearing.
