on weekends and holidays, within or adjacent to residential or noise-sensitive areas, if the sound is plainly audible across the real property line of the source or inside any residence, business or building other than the source. Outside those curfew hours, the same subsection still makes any use a violation if the resulting sound occurs continuously or incessantly for ten minutes, or intermittently over a continuous half-hour or more in any 24-hour period, to the disturbance of any person. Any business running a sound system must keep the sound contained within its own premises, whether through structural or acoustical treatment or by lowering volume, and outdoor speakers on a patio or similar area cannot be pointed away from the business toward another home or business without that party's express written approval. The parade/gathering exemption in section 26-126(b) and the farm-activity exemption in section 26-126(a) both apply to override these limits when relevant.
