Bucks County, PA Noise Ordinances: Amplified Music & Outdoor Sound (2026)

Section 9.5.A of the Bucks County Park System Rules and Regulations bars using a loudspeaker, public address system, or amplifier within or upon property within the Park System without a permit issued by the Department. Section 9.5.B separately bars playing or causing to play any radio, audio device, television or stereo equipment, or similar device, at a volume which is reasonably anticipated to disturb or annoy others, and that standard applies whether or not the equipment runs through a speaker system. The permit requirement in Section 9.5.A runs through the same special-use permit process the Department uses for assemblies and amusement equipment under Sections 9.8 and 9.3, so a group planning a concert, rally with a PA system, or DJ set at a Bucks County park pavilion needs to apply to the Department before setting up equipment, not simply keep the volume down.
