Fifteen straight minutes, allowing up to sixty seconds of silence between sounds, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., or ten minutes overnight between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., and only if it "unreasonably disturbs or interferes with the peace, comfort, or repose" of someone who can hear it (5.1.110(A)(3)).
Are any dogs exempt from the barking rule?

What's the fine for a barking dog complaint?
Twenty five dollars for a first offense, fifty for a second within two years, one hundred for a third, and double the previous fine, up to eight hundred dollars, for each one after that (5.1.111(A)). Every day the barking continues counts as its own violation.
Can I appeal a barking dog citation?
Yes. File a written request for a hearing with the sheriff's hearing officer within fourteen days of the citation. The hearing is limited to whether the violation happened and whether you were responsible for the dog, and either side can appeal the hearing officer's decision to the board of county commissioners.
