Section 4-8 of the Broward County Animal Care Ordinance (Chapter 4) prohibits allowing a cat or dog to habitually bark, howl, whine, or damage the property of another person. Barking dogs may also trigger the general noise ordinance (Ch. 27, Β§27-235) if sound exceeds 55 dBA (L50) at the receiving residential property line. Property owners may humanely trap a nuisance animal and bring it to Broward County Animal Care. Enforcement is through Animal Care officers and code compliance.
