Camden County's ordinance prohibits construction, drilling, earthmoving, or demolition noise between 6:00 pm and 7:00 am on weekdays, and at any time on weekends or legal holidays, unless equipment is exceptions apply.
Section 6.2.6 makes it a prohibited act to operate construction, drilling, earthmoving, excavating, or demolition equipment 'between the hours of 6:00 pm and 7:00 am the following day on weekdays or at any time on weekends or legal holidays.' Equipment must have a functioning muffler. Exceptions: emergency work, a variance under Article VIII, or when the sound stays within the Table I decibel limits. Daytime construction noise is otherwise exempt from the Table I limits if all motorized equipment is muffled (§ 5.2(c)).
