Construction and site-preparation activities in unincorporated Collier County are allowed only 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. No work is permitted on Sundays or six named holidays.
Under Collier County's Noise Control Ordinance (Sec. 54-92(f)), construction and site work (land clearing, grading, excavation, vegetation removal) may occur only 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Prohibited on Sundays and on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Power-driven equipment must use a manufacturer-grade muffler. Work needed beyond these hours requires an Emergency Construction Permit from the County Manager. County, state, and federal government projects are exempt from the permit requirement.
Violations are enforced by Code Enforcement under Sec. 54-90: fines of $100 (first), $250 (second), and $500 (third or more), each incident a separate offense.
