Any radio, television, stereo, loudspeaker, musical instrument, or other device that produces sound audible beyond the property line at levels exceeding the exterior noise standards — 55 dBA daytime and 50 dBA nighttime for residential zones — is in violation. During quiet hours, the standard is effectively lowered to any audible level that would disturb a reasonable person.
