Lake Havasu City Code Chapter 9.30 sets allowable noise levels by zone. In residential Noise Zone I, nighttime quiet hours begin at 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and midnight Friday/Saturday/holidays, dropping limits to 45 dB(A) measured at the receiving property line.
Chapter 9.30 (Noise) divides the city into three zones: Zone I (single, two-family, and multi-family residential), Zone II (commercial and mixed use), and Zone III (manufacturing/industrial). Section 9.30.050 caps noise at the receiving property line, and the daytime/nighttime windows were tightened by Ordinance 21-1251 — nighttime in Zone I now starts at 10 p.m. Sun-Thu (instead of midnight) and midnight Fri/Sat/holidays (instead of 2 a.m.). Violations of Chapter 9.30 are enforced as Class 1 misdemeanors under the general penalty clause of Title 1, punishable by up to $2,500 and/or 6 months in jail per Arizona law, though most first offenses are charged as civil ordinance violations with fines up to $500.
