Full Breakdown
County Code § 15-1 defines an abandoned motor vehicle as one in a state of disrepair and incapable of moving under its own power, or lacking a current safety inspection and license plate. Leaving one, or household appliances, glass, building material, or similar rubbish, in a county road right-of-way is a misdemeanor under § 1-9, and the sheriff's office or local police enforce it. A cited owner must also remove the vehicle or item from the right-of-way; the citation alone doesn't satisfy the ordinance.
Violations & Fines
Misdemeanor under § 1-9, plus a mandatory order to remove the vehicle or debris from the right-of-way.
