Under LDC § 9.03.01(C), a vehicle requiring Florida licensure must meet at least two of three tests, (1) valid title and current plate, (2) runs and moves within a week of investigation, (3) completely intact with all bodywork and mechanical parts, or be stored in a completely enclosed garage or hidden completely from public view in residential districts, with a maximum of two screened outside a garage per parcel. Where no backyard is available, a complete intact car cover (not a tarp) is acceptable screening. Licensed car lots, junkyards, salvage yards, and repair shops (for vehicles under repair) are exempt.

Code Enforcement issues a correction notice; unresolved violations go to the Code Enforcement Board with daily fines. Vehicles abandoned on public roads may be towed and disposed of under FS 705.103.
