Prince George's County Code Subtitle 26, Section 26-123 prohibits parking any commercial bus, commercial trailer, trailer, or heavy commercial truck on County streets or highways between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. outside municipal limits, unless the vehicle is engaged in a commercial purpose and parks no more than two hours. A heavy commercial truck is defined in Section 26-101 as one with a gross weight over 10,000 pounds. Separately, Maryland Transportation Article Section 21-1010 (a PG County-specific state law) prohibits parking a commercial vehicle on any street, driveway, or property in a residential zone. Fines under 26-123 escalate from $500 to $750 to $1,000; each day is a separate offense.
