Commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs gross vehicle weight are prohibited from overnight parking in residential zoning districts of Anne Arundel County. Vehicles used for active construction or service work may be parked temporarily during work hours. Passenger vans and pickup trucks used for trade work are generally not restricted. Heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, and commercial tankers are prohibited overnight on residential streets. County code enforcement and police respond to complaints. Business deliveries during normal business hours are exempt. Parking on private property for commercial vehicle storage requires commercial or industrial zoning.
