In urban unincorporated Clark County, parking motor and recreational vehicles in front yards on pervious (unpaved) surfaces is a declared nuisance. Required off-street parking areas must be paved and maintained under Title 40, with limited rural exemptions.
CCC 9.24.010(2)(g) lists as a nuisance 'Motor and recreational vehicles parked in front yards on pervious surfaces' in urban zoning classifications. Under Title 40, CCC 40.340.010(A)(8) requires that 'All parking and loading spaces and related access drives, maneuvering, and vehicle storage areas shall be paved to standards, including the use of permeable pavements, as approved by the responsible official,' subject to listed exemptions (utility/wireless facilities, rural-access uses, agricultural stands, etc.). Off-street parking for dwellings must be on the same lot as the dwelling (40.340.010(A)(4)(a)).
Nuisance enforcement for front-yard pervious-surface parking; Title 40 zoning enforcement for unpaved required parking. Owner is notified before penalties or abatement.
