SLCRO §1207.060 makes it unlawful to park a vehicle in the front yard of a residential property unless the vehicle is on a paved driveway or designated paved parking area contiguous with the driveway.
Parking Prohibited in Residential Front Yards (§1207.060) is enforced by the Neighborhood Preservation Program. A designated parking area must be paved and contiguous with the driveway. Driveways must be properly maintained under §1003.165 — no significant cracks, broken sections, voids, or surface differentials over 3/4 inch. Gravel is acceptable only on legally pre-existing driveways.
Notice of Violation; up to $1,000/day; pavement repair compelled. Vehicles may be cited under §1207.040 if blocking sidewalks.
