Manatee County Code Sec. 2-22-26 gives the Board of County Commissioners original jurisdiction to regulate parking in areas on county-owned or county-controlled property by resolution and by erecting signs conforming to Florida Department of Transportation specifications. The county administrator may designate reserved, tow-away zone parking spaces for governmental use. Parking an unauthorized motor vehicle in a space marked by an official traffic-control device as reserved or tow-away is prohibited. Loading and delivery restrictions on private commercial sites are set through the Land Development Code and site plans rather than this chapter, which covers county roads and county lots.
