Collier County, FL Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Loading zones in unincorporated Collier County are governed by the Land Development Code's off-street loading standards in Section 4.05.06. Off-street loading facilities are required so that vehicles engaged in unloading do not encroach on public use of streets and alleys, and so adequate space exists for loading goods off the street. Commercial, industrial, and larger developments must provide off-street loading berths sized by the building's use and floor area, reviewed at site-plan approval; loading space cannot double as required parking. Residential single-family uses have no loading-zone requirement. On public streets, Florida Statute 316.1945 governs where stopping to load or unload is prohibited, such as sidewalks, crosswalks, and intersections.
