Seminole Code Section 39-53 regulates recreational vehicles, boats, and trailers parked or stored in residential zoning districts, with restrictions on location, surface, and time limits.
Section 39-53 of the City of Seminole Code (Chapter 39, Article II, Division 2) governs the parking and storage of recreational vehicles, boats, utility trailers, and similar equipment on residentially zoned property. Recreational vehicles must generally be stored in a side or rear yard on an approved hard surface, not in front yards or rights-of-way. Loading and unloading windows are permitted for short durations. Vehicles must be owned or used by a resident of the property, must be operable, and must display current registration. Pinellas County guidance further limits travel trailers and motor homes to 40 feet, requires valid tags, and prohibits use as accessory dwellings.
Violations are handled by Building Department code enforcement, beginning with a notice of violation and escalating to daily civil fines through the special magistrate process.
