Miami-Dade County Code Section 33-20 allows one RV per residential property with size limits of 30 feet length and 10 feet height. Boat storage limits depend on lot size: one boat under half-acre, two boats on half-acre or larger, three boats on five acres or more.
Miami-Dade County Code Section 33-20(f) permits one recreational vehicle or camping equipment on residential property. The RV must not exceed 30 feet in length and 10 feet in height, must be kept clean and in usable condition with a current registration plate, must be owned or leased by the property owner or tenant, and must be secured for high winds or hurricanes. Out-of-county houseguests may park their RV for up to 14 days. Section 33-20(e) governs boat storage: boats under 30 feet length, 102 inches width, and 13 feet 6 inches height may be stored in RU, EU, AU, and GU districts. Lots under half-acre may store one boat or two personal watercraft. Lots over half-acre may store two boats or four PWC. Lots over five acres may store three boats or six PWC.
Non-compliance results in a ticket under Chapter 8CC. Penalties accrue and a lien may be placed on the property if fines, enforcement costs, and administrative costs are not paid or the violation is not corrected.
