On unincorporated county roads, parking is governed by Code Ch. 7.01. Vehicles must park parallel and facing traffic, stay clear of yellow curbs and no-parking signs, keep at least 18 feet of roadway open, and never block traffic or fire-access.
Clackamas County Code 7.01.020 sets the on-street rules for county-maintained (unincorporated) roads, enforced by the Sheriff. Vehicles must park parallel to and facing the direction of the nearest travel lane, leave at least 18 feet of unobstructed roadway, stay at least 12 feet from a mailbox, and obey posted 'No Parking' signs and yellow-curb markings authorized by the Department of Transportation and Development. Parking that impedes traffic, is a hazard, or obstructs a fire-apparatus access road is prohibited. Inside incorporated cities the city's own parking code applies.
Sheriff-issued parking citation; fine set by Board resolution, doubles if unpaid within 14 days; three unpaid citations can trigger a tow or boot.
