On unincorporated county roads you may not park within 5 feet of a driveway or junction, within 10 feet of a fire hydrant, in a bus stop, or where a sign prohibits it. Otherwise on-street parking is allowed.
Ordinance 2024-1 adopts the 2024 Model Traffic Code for Colorado plus county-specific parking rules. Under Section III.4, no person may park on a street within five feet of a public or private driveway or junction, within ten feet of a fire hydrant, in a bus stop, or anywhere a traffic or parking control device prohibits parking; and no one may stop, stand, or park on a sidewalk. An operable, currently registered vehicle may park on the street near its registered unincorporated address. The Sheriff's Office, county security officers, and Parks & Open Space rangers all enforce these rules.
Parking violations are civil infractions with a graduated penalty: $15 first offense, $30 second, $60 third and subsequent, plus a $10 court surcharge.
