On county roads and rights-of-way, vehicles may not be left abandoned, parked partially in the travel lane, or parked on a sidewalk. Lane County follows ORS 819.120, and camping or abandoned vehicles are prohibited in any public road right-of-way. Reserved and posted limits also control.
Lane County Public Works enforces parking in the road right-of-way. The county's guidance states vehicles should not be left abandoned or parked partially in the travel lane, on a sidewalk, or otherwise in violation of ORS 819.120. Camping and abandoned vehicles are not allowed in a public road right-of-way. The Weighmaster handles most right-of-way vehicle enforcement. Report nuisance or abandoned vehicles to Public Works at 541-682-6900. On-lot parking is governed separately by LC 16.250, while cities set their own on-street rules within city limits.
Vehicles left in violation may be towed and impounded; obstruction or abandonment in the right-of-way is enforced under ORS 819.120 and Lane Code right-of-way provisions.
