No one may park a motor vehicle on a Manatee County road or county-controlled parking area for more than 48 continuous hours, and never in restricted areas or fire lanes (Code 2-22-22).
Manatee County Code Sec. 2-22-22 governs stopping, standing, and parking on county roads throughout the unincorporated area. The core rule caps continuous parking at 48 hours; you also can't park in a restricted area for any purpose other than the one it's restricted for, or in a marked fire lane. Section 2-22-24 lists specific county rights-of-way posted "No Stopping, Standing or Parking at Any Time." Enforcement is by the Sheriff's Office and county code officers, treated as a noncriminal traffic infraction. City streets inside Bradenton, Palmetto, or the Anna Maria Island towns are governed by those cities, not the county.
Noncriminal traffic infraction: $25 civil penalty, doubling to $50 if unpaid after ten days (Sec. 2-22-3).
