Collier County has no meters or residential parking permits, but Code Section 110-31 makes it unlawful to park in any public right-of-way unless authorized, and Florida Statute 316.1945 bars parking on sidewalks, crosswalks, and within intersections. Land Development Code 4.05.03 forbids parking on grass.
There is no countywide meter or residential permit street-parking program in unincorporated Collier County, but several rules apply. Collier County Code Section 110-31.A states it is unlawful to park in any right-of-way provided for public use in the county unless authorized. Florida Statutes Section 316.1945 separately prohibits stopping, standing, or parking on a sidewalk, within an intersection, on a crosswalk, or on a bicycle path. Land Development Code Section 4.05.03 requires residential parking on an approved, stabilized driveway surface, so parking on the grass or unimproved yard is a violation. Inside incorporated cities such as Naples and Marco Island, the city's own parking rules govern.
Vehicles violating state parking law may be ticketed or towed. Right-of-way and grass-parking violations are enforced by Collier Code Enforcement through notice, fines, and liens.
