Full Breakdown

The county's noise control article (Ch. 12, Art. II) makes it a civil infraction to run a radio, stereo, or musical instrument so it's plainly audible and disturbs neighbors' peace and quiet, or is audible 50 feet away in commercial/industrial areas. Yelling, shouting, or singing in residential areas between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. that disturbs others is separately prohibited. The sheriff's office enforces the article and can act on any noise that unreasonably disturbs a person of ordinary sensitivity, factoring in proximity to homes, time of night, and duration.

Violations & Fines

Civil infraction, fine up to $500.00; each day a violation continues is a separate offense.
