Full Breakdown
Section 13-2 makes it unlawful to cause unreasonably loud noise that disturbs the public peace and welfare in unincorporated Pulaski County. The law singles out radios, stereos, music systems, and instruments played loudly enough to disturb neighbors, especially between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., plus sustained engine noise from vehicles idling in driveways or garages. It does not reach incorporated cities like Little Rock, which enforce their own noise codes. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department handles enforcement.
Violations & Fines
Violating the noise ordinance carries a fine up to $500, doubling to $1,000 for each repeat offense; the sheriff's department cites and enforces it.
